…“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

Many Christians are familiar with the word “GRACE” but only a few know what Grace means and how important it is to us Christians or followers of Christ. I pray this article blesses you and points you towards the amazing Love and Grace of God.

Grace is God’s free and unmerited or undeserved favor toward (sinful) humanity. Grace is a favor from God we never deserve, God does it because He loves us and His love for us has no end. God sending Jesus Christ, His Son into the world, to teach us his ways and pay the price of our sins is Grace. God sent Jesus Christ into the world because He loves us. None of us deserved this but out of love God sent His own Son.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NIV

God says, “His Grace is sufficient and it is made perfect in our weakness.” How does these words sound to you? God’s free favor iswhat we need, this favor is made perfect in our weakness, in our sinful times, in times where we allow ourselves to be deceived by the things of the world. God’s forgiveness is Grace, His healing is Grace, His restoration is Grace and His Salvation is Grace. You need to live under God’s Grace, that’s all we need as Christians.

Many of us live hopeless lives thinking our condition will keep on moving from bad to worst, many people have been condemned by their guilt thinking there will be no way they can be forgiven. God is a loving God, He loves His children unconditionally, and He is willing to do anything for us we only have to trust Him.

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”   Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.”
2 Corinthians 9:8-10 NIV

Through God’s grace we can be assured that, we will receive whatever we ask for through Christ Jesus.

“So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.”
Acts 14:3 NIV

The Jews didn’t believe the message Paul and Barnabas preached but to confirm it was true, God filled them with power to perform great signs and wonders and among them. When we live our lives under the care of God, giving our lives to Him and accepting His Son Jesus into our lives, we can experience God’s grace, His healing, restoration, and His amazing love. It doesn’t matter how broken or how long you have been sinning God still loves you and He wants to change you now, you respond by accepting Jesus into your life as your Lord and personal saviour and reading His word always.

God has no favorites, He loves all equally, God doesn’t want us to face the dangers of sin that is why He keeps loving us and teaching how we can overcome sins power over our lives. God’s grace is suffecient, His grace is all we need,  He has the power to strengthen us. Ask God to change you from any act that is ungodly in your life, begin to study His word everyday and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand God’s word.

“For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!”
Romans 5:17 NIV

Adam disobeyed God and that brought sin into the world and devil had control over the lives of humanity. But when Jesus came into the world, everything changed, His power over death has transformed us and we are no longer slaves to the dark world. This is where Grace began. We choose to allow ourselves suffer from our past sinful lives if we continue to dwell in Sin, but we can experience God’s Grace by following Jesus Christ.

God wants us to live a life of peace and total surrender to Him, although God forgives us no matter the number of times we keep sinning but we also have to think of the danger of sin, the end result of sin. If you find yourself doing things you do not want to do, God’s grace is all you need, it has power to work best in your weakness. Read the verse below:
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
Hebrews 4:16 NIV

God’s throne of Grace is full of compassion for the lost, the weak and everyone. Approach His throne of Grace first of by accepting Jesus into your life, and reading the Bible everyday, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you God’s ways.

If you are struggling in life, do not give up, whether your education, your marriage, your job, your finance, your health, whatever it is, God’s grace is all you need. You are highly favored, trust God and keep on praying.

“The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.  My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.” 1Corinthians16:23-24NIV

Yours in Christ, Edmund Appiah.
