Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstance may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer, and Mediator of that will]. 1Thessalonians 5:18

Why does the bible teaches us to be thankful to God in all circumstances. Why should this be so, just be honest to yourself, do you remember to be thankful to God in all circumstances? Sometimes instead of being thankful to God, we instead blame God. Just know this that its never God’s will to see you suffering in life, but rather He will always be present to help us anytime we suffer. Suffering is part of life, but it’s never meant to defeat you, defeat suffering by trusting God with all your

Being thankful is God’s will for us, God wants us to be thankful in all our circumstances, we shouldn’t be blaming God for whatever bad we face in life, but we must be thankful to Him.

What does this really mean?
Being thankful to God in all circumstance is one way of telling God that He alone can help you out of every situation you face in life. When we give thanks to God even in the most difficult part of our lives, God rises and comes to our aid. Read the bible verse below,

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness–trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never]. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation. Psalm 91:14-16

In psalm 91 David declared God as His refuge, and trusted in God with all His heart, and that was the reply God gave Him. This is the same reply God gives you if you live a life of thanksgiving, a life where by you trust and rely on God always. God never moves away from us we rather move away from Him, when we blame instead of being thankful, when we doubt instead of believing in Him.

In 1thessalonians 5:18 we learn that being thankful to God is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus who is the mediator between us and God. I remember clearly where God spoke to me one day saying “When others are crying be happy, when others loose hope, be hopeful, when others are sitting, stand in faith, because believe I am always with you.”

Beloved  in Christ, there will be a time in your life, where all hopes will be lost, there will be a time people will tell you to give up, but remember as God told me, that’s the same thing He is telling you as you read this article, being thankful to God is laughing even when others are crying, people may  tell you there is no cure for your disease, laugh and tell them God has a cure. The same thing must appear in your Job, and wherever you find yourself on earth.  Let people see the God you serve, God never fails.

Being thankful in all circumstance, requires constant praying, declaring the Holy Scriptures in the Bible, it also requires, walking in God’s will, that is living all your days, serving God faithfully, being thankful to God also requires praise. Sing songs of praise to God, read psalms and always declare this “I trust God, and He will never fail me in Jesus’ Name.

Do not blame God or anyone else for whatever circumstance in your life, just be thankful to God, believing that He will lead you out of the obstacles you face in life.

God bless you.
